Our history in learning technology
2005 – Synergy Learning is acquired
Synergy Learning was first established in a partnership between the University of Ulster and Fujitsu/ICL in the late 1990s and acquired by its current shareholders in 2005.
The start of our successful and long-standing relationship with open source learning management system Moodle, which continues to this day.
2005 – We become Moodle Partners
2009 – DACH office opens
Our office in Germany opens to support our growing number of customers in the DACH region.
We are awarded Platinum Alliance partner status, the top tier of Totara partners. Another enormously successful and ongoing relationship is established.
2011 – We become Totara Platinum Alliance Partners
2015 – Totara Global Top Seller of the Year
We are named as Totara’s Global Top Seller of the Year having been the leading supplier of platforms worldwide in the previous 12 months.
We are named as Moodle’s regional Partner of the Year in recognition of our “outstanding performance”.
2019 – Moodle EMEA Partner of the Year
2020 – We’re named Moodle Premium Certified Partners
In recognition of our achievements over the past 15 years, we are awarded Moodle Premium Certified Partner status. As experienced Moodle partners, we are entrusted with delivering projects using the new Moodle Workplace platform.
When the Covid pandemic hit, we went remote-first – though we do have our state-of-the-art Hub in Belfast’s Titanic quarter for in-person collaboration when needed.

Our remote-first workforce passes the 50-employee mark for the first time as we continue to grow.
